CENTRAL Barbershop ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This page explains what personal data we collect when you visit our website, book an appointment, message us, or call our AI receptionist Elli — and how you can control it.

Who we are

CENTRAL Barbershop, Elizabetes iela 41/43, Rīga, LV-1010. Contact: cbs.riga@gmail.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

What we collect and why

  • Booking details (name, phone number, chosen service) — via our booking system Altegio, to schedule and manage your appointment.
  • WhatsApp / chat messages — through our own chat system, to answer questions and help you book, sometimes with the help of our AI assistant Elli.
  • Phone calls with Elli, our AI receptionist — calls may be recorded and transcribed to confirm bookings and to review and improve the service.
  • Website usage data — via Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Ads, to understand traffic and measure our advertising; and via Plausible, a cookie-free analytics tool that never collects personal data.

Cookies

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site to function (e.g. remembering your cookie choice). Always on.
  • Analytics & advertising (Google Analytics, Google Ads) — only after you accept the cookie banner. You can decline and still book normally.
  • Plausible — doesn't use cookies and doesn't collect personal data, so it runs regardless of your choice.
  • Booking widget (Altegio) and live chat — load when you actively use them (clicking "Book" or opening the chat), as part of delivering the feature you asked for.

Legal basis

  • Performance of a contract — booking and providing your appointment.
  • Consent — analytics and advertising cookies.
  • Legitimate interest — improving our service, support and quality control.

Who we share it with

  • Altegio (booking platform).
  • Google (Analytics, Ads).
  • Our chat/AI infrastructure and Google Cloud (for the Elli voice assistant).
  • We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

  • Booking history: as long as needed to run your account with us, and afterwards only if required for accounting purposes.
  • Call recordings and chat history: kept only as long as reasonably needed for support and quality review, and no longer than 24 months, unless the law requires longer.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you can ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data, or object to how we use it. Contact cbs.riga@gmail.com. You can also complain to Latvia's Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija, dvi.gov.lv).
